Rotation 3 - Storyboarding Interior Architectural Spaces

Week 3 and 4 -
Below images are the final product for Final Project. The building was a draft of my bakery design in ARCH1102 course.

Below are some images of sketches experimenting different views and perspective for final submission. The building was a draft of my bakery design in ARCH1102 course.

Week 2 -
On week 2, we try out the sighting technique by setting up a modern version of Durer's experiment. Basically the technique can be done by using a plastic sheet and draw grids on it and place it on a window and sketch the view on what you see on the plastic grid where the grids help you to indicate exactly where the position of the elements are.

Week 1 -
The exercise on week 1 was to select a significant event set within specific interior spaces and create a spatial ambiance based on a narrative of my personal experience.

Rotation 2 - Workshop 3 Material Modelling

Week 4 - Final Project Submission

The final project was to reflect on our previous projects. Memories was chosen in the previous work and the word healing was chosen for the main concept.

Fundamental concept of the poster and model indicates old, broken and forgotten memories in the progression of healing from sorrow when an individual is subsiding and lost in forgotten memories. The black and white images stairs images characterise the memories, and different kind of stair case expresses different sort of sad memories, for example big junk of stone stairs represent important lost memory and concrete stairs with rail indicates other different memories. The different kind of broken, cracked balsa wood stairs shows how the movement of healing.Healing occur when bids by bids starts to bond together and heal.

3D model

Balsa wood shape is cut and joint in different ways to express more like a puzzle concept to link different bids together to correspond to healing. Different box and plates indicates a different sad lost memory where the whole 3D model design tends to express different memories and sorrow slowly heals. The individual sad and sorrow feeling and kind of lost , the stairs indicates forgotten memories being put together which expresses healing.

Week 3 -

On week 3, we explore body, space, city Below are images of the 3D model based on the A2 poster made out of wire and boxboard.

Week 2 -

On week 2, we explore text andform entwined. What we did was picked one text from the given text and choose one of the presented architects'/artists' works and do further research. We have to create a A2 poster and a 3D model which show an experimental interpretation and extension of the chosen text and architect's work.

Below are some images of the 3D model which made of white mountboard.

Below are some images of experimenting ways of creating perspectives view.

Week 1 -

Week 1 was basically experimentingpaper modelling. The concept of the models are experimenting spatial and time exploration of the senses. Each model are abstract from a word. The words are Dream, Machinic, Confinement. Below are some photos of the paper models.

Rotation 1 - Workshop 5 Storyboarding Representing Representation

Final Submission -

These images are the finished product. Different layers of perspectives view can be seen when you play around with it. The model can be fold it up and down, turn it around, look over, under, side to side, different layers can be pull out, more of the perspectives are revealed. Then you can as well remove each part to see the perspectives individually.

Week 3 and 4 progress -
Below is the final presentation being displayed individually to show each layers perspective individually. We also cut out elements so that when you looked at the 3D version, you could see through layers and see into the perspective of other layers. Different layers and perspectives view can be seen when you play around with it.

Images below show our test model, it was extremely complex to work out. The concept of this model is to show different perspectives view. The model was commented and we should make it one and half times the size.

The video shows how actually the model can be folded to create different perspectives view.
Below are a few of the photoshopped images that we printed out. Different images of different chosen elements were then cut and we started placing them in all different ways and play with it to create a different perspective on every sheet.

Week 2 -

The image below was the work we presented. The image below shows from the left we had the elements we liked, and on the right we had elements we didn't like about the space.
The left was creating a perspective which draws the individual into the sunny area in the space. The right side expresses sort of a no enter towards that space which trying to create a negative feeling in that area to stop individuals from entering the site.

Week 1 -
When to a selected site and we were brain storming different ideas on what we have to do regarding the model and the concept. Then, we extracted elements that we liked and also delete the ones that we don't like. Below are some photos showing some of the photoshopping work.
